Police arrests in Blackfriars: the facts

What we know about arrests made in Blackfriars today

Police arrested three men today after briefly cordoning off roads in Blackfriars, London. A police spokesperson told The Independent that arrests were made on “suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.”

The area is now reopened. Armed police and helicopters were seen arriving at the scene.

Unconfirmed reports from the scene say that a silver BMW car was at the centre of the investigation, and that the car in question had Belgian numberplates.
